Backstage Theatre has been presenting award winning theatre since 1974. Join them this season as they present a series of terrific events.
In this deal, see "Love, Loss, and What I Wore", based on the
1995 book of the same name written by Ilene Beckerman. The show is a
series of monologues and
vignettes of womens' romantic histories in terms of the different items
of clothing they owned and donned during key moments in their lives.
Adapted for the stage by Ephron and her sister Delia, "Love, Loss, and
What I Wore" uses a rotating cast of five actresses to portray a variety
of women - from a senator with a colored past... to a woman obsessed
with boots... to a defiant cancer patient - as they discuss their loves
and
losses and how each important event in their life was inextricably
linked to what they happened to be wearing at that time.
